Phone switching off after update

Since the recent update I have had three phone calls that I have tried to answer but as I slide the icon across the phone restarts. Is this something that anyone else has had. I don't get many calls and since the update have only had one call that I have answered properly.

How to boot on safe mode on Lolipop
1. press and hold the power key
2. once you get the pop up menu 
3. press and hold "power off" 
4. Boot on safe mode should become available

Is it OK to have the phone in safe mode and use as normal until someone rings me, or is this not a good idea. If not I will try tomorrow and get someone at work to ring me.

It will be fine, keep in mind that third party apps are disabled while on safe mode.

OK thanks a lot l will switch to safe mode now, but will have to wait until tomorrow as I don't get many calls.

OK this morning got a friend to ring me twice in safe mode, then twice after rebooting, unfortunately or fortunately it answerd all four without switching off. So will now leave on as normal it is of course typical when hopping that it shows up a fault it doesn't. Will see what happens over the coming weeks, and will definitely let you know if it happens again. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP AND TIME.
