Phone doesn't turn on

Hi,

Yesterday I tried to turn on my phone after charging it. It vibrated and the backlight lit up as it usually does when the phone turns on, however, the Sony Ericsson logo does not appear and it stays frozen in this state. I have tried removing the battery for a few minutes but it doesn't change anything.

I also tried connecting to PC Companion, which intermittently detects the phone, as if it was being continuously connected and disconnected. I cannot do an update or anything to it from the computer.

Can anyone please tell me what the problem is and if there's anything else I can do?

Try a different computer or cable or contact Sony Xperia support.

Hi Jobitt, welcome to the community!

If the light comes on that is a good sign. Have you tried powering the phone off and making sure it is disconnected from the PC > pressing Start under Support Zone > Phone/tablet software update > Repair my phone/tablet > following on-screen instructions and then connecting the phone when prompted?
