New update 23.4.A.1.200?

I'm getting the ( 23.4.A.1.200 ) update, I want to know What this update for? Anyone else who is getting this update?

I have tried everything with call settings. Isnt it somehow bad to my phone this PC Companion? And what exactly i should do there, im so worried please help somebody!!

Hello Sonyz2yap . To do a software repair follow this by using PC Companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 2 hours .

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP). If you have updated your phone with PC Companion, then everything OK. Hope this would help you. keep us updated.

Hello Sonyz2yap again . This is another how to use pc companion. If you didn't use pc companion before, then follow these steps.

Download PC Companion. 

Note: a software repair will delete all user data, to BACK UP your phone:

A - THIS IS HOW TO BACK UP YOUR PHONE:

1. Go to Support to install PC Companion on a Windows
computer.
2. When installed, start PC Companion on the computer.
3. Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
4. Click Start under Backup & Restore.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
(Exactly what contents will be backed up may differ
depending on phone model.
You can view detailed information about this as you follow
the steps in the Backup & Restore wizard).

B - RUNNING THE SOFTWARE REPAIR  WITH PC COMPANION:

1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps

Hello Moxy99 . You might need a software repair using PC Companion if you tried everything in vain. I think it's the only solution available right now. Hop it will solve your problem.

Im so sorry i dont undestand, im turning off my phone and then doing it all? but my question is. Is it possible that it can brake my phone somehow? I can do it but im scared maybe some bad will happen with my phone

Hello Sonyz2yap . I know that a system repair with PC Companion will correct all problems if they are related to some mistakes done by updating or by misusing the phone. You should keep in mind that all your apps will be erased. And your phone's internal memory will be erased too. Your contacts will be erased too, so back them up. It happened once with me. In the previous update, while pc companion was updating my phone something wrong had happened to my computer and it shuts down by itself during the update process. What happened was a disaster for me, cause my phone didn't start any more . I said to myself I've broken my phone. BUT I did the repair with my pc companion. And everything was fine and my phone back to life again. Sorry cause I'm talking too much but to show my view.

Another question did you try to make a factory data reset : Open settings/ Backup & reset/ factory data reset. If not try it, but it will also erase all your apps and data.

Have you tried to reset app preferences. This is how : Open settings/Apps/ tap on the three dots at the right up corner of the phone/ Reset app preferences. But remember all your accounts and settings for your apps will be erased.

Okay. Right now its preparing update to my laptop. What i should do next when its done? And is it even possible that PC Companion will help my phone in this echo problem? Im worried i will do that somehow wrong and i will mess up my phone

Hello Sonyz2yap . If the echo problem is caused by a software misbehave or software update, it will fix the problem. Wait untill your laptop finishes preparing ,then follow the steps I've given in a previous post. Don't forget to back up your phone first with PC Companion too.

Open PC companion / backup and restore / then press backup / next/ next/ and the process will start.

 As you've said  ( Im worried i will do that somehow wrong and i will mess up my phone ) - I can tell you that the repair will not mess up your phone if you follow the directions given to you . On the contrary ,if there is something wrong with your phone the repair will fix it. :smileyhappy:.

Hello Sonyz2yap . You're not an idiot. I were like you when I first started such stuff. YOU have to download PC companion to your Laptop ,then install it on your laptop - it will ask you about your zone - I mean where do you live? --. After that open PC Companion on your laptop . Then connect your phone to the laptop using the USB cable that came with your phone - you have to unlock your phone in order to make PC Companion capable of recognising your phone. If things went right, you'll see your phone's model for example ( Sony Xperia Z2 (D6502) ) at the top corner of the programme. Then click on Start in the Support zone of PC COMPANION , and follow the instructions given in a previous post.:smileysmileywink:
