My experia won't switch on when i press the on button at the side - why?

It'll only switch on (like to see the time etc) when I fiddle about with the camera button. Really annoying.

I have no idea what's going on. It just started to do this the other day. Phone is new too.

Any ideas what I should do?

If I understand you correctly, there are no response when you press the ON/OFF button? Have you tried to force a shutdown by holding down the ON/OFF + volume up(+) for 5 seconds?

Hi, glad you got it sorted.....have you tried using Tap to Wake instead of pressing the on/off button all the time??

Its a good feature but can be a bit tempremental with regards to the amount of 'taps' to wake the screen tho
