Messaging app freezing

Hi, lately i have some problems with messaging app, it's freezeing vrey often...i tried to erase all my text messages and after a half an hour...it didn't erase anything... What can i do that the app to behave properly? This is very, very annoying!!

Hi GYO11, 

Have you tried clearing the data for the Messaging app? If not, please try this -  just go into Settings > Apps > All > Messaging > tap Messaging > tap Clear data > test again & let us know whether or not it has helped.

I tried already this, i also tried to force stop the app, i tried to disable and enable it...still the same problems... I tried to erase all my text messages also as a solution...i was thinking that the app missbehave because i have many text messages...but the result you now it already from my first post...

Have you tried to delete a smaller amount of messages instead of all just to see if this can help? Othwerise, I suggest that you make a factory reset on your device since you are unable to delete the messages and clearing data for the application was not successful.

I have deleted smaller amounts...but it is complicated....after i delete 1 conversation...or a small group of conversations(2-3) i have to clear data, force stop the app...etc. If i want to delete more conversations...
And i don't whant to make a factory reset because i have some data that i need...and if i make a back.up...when i restore it...it's like before...i made it one a while ago
