Hi. I just upgraded to lollipop. It seems the download (1.2GB) is still somewhere, because before I had 2+ GBof free storage on the internal memory, and now I I have 1+, so I guess I need some cleanup...
I went into each of the options under Settins / Storage, and can't find a way to do a cleanup (again comparing to my old samsug, samsung did have a cleanup option on this same screen).
Regards,
You do not need that kind of app. Go to settings-storage,tap on cache to clear cache memory. Restart the device.
Also, lollipop uses more memory than other software versions.
Thanks.. release 0.6 GB more...
I saw under Android System it's using 3.58 and Apps is in 3.21 GB. Not sure before lollipop, but I bet it was much less... I am not an app maniac, just a few, and all of those that can go in the SD i move there, so this lollipop is quite a resource consumer, asuming most of those apps are system apps...!
all you need its one app such as facebook or spotify or any other streaming service to use up your internal memory.
Chrome is a memory killer too.
Xperia c3 dont really need lollipop update! It only have 8gb memory. Lollipop version eats 3.58gb, apps is 3+gb. What is this! Do you really think lollipop version suits xperia c3 mobile? Sony developers!
If you think your phone doesn't need the update, you can simply skip it and don't install it. You have the freedom.
First of all, it's not "our" update. This is a user based forums, and if you need to complain or send feedback to Sony directly you can try this link:

Second, there's a why to go downgrade to Kitkat if you really can't live with Lollipop version, check it from here:

Last, I hope you get your phone fixed and smooth again, you can give Lollipop another try by doing a phone repair via PC Companion:
Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.
