It looks like they have forgotten this option in the status bar :-(. Especially, as the manual doesn't refer to this option and the selection must be made explicitly when making the call.
Due to missing this feature/option using my carkit is not an option anymore as I must make the call from the phone itself i.s.o. remote. Lets hope Sony fixes this in the near future (hopefully yesterday)!
