A new Lifelog update has now been released. (2.0.A.0.12).
Major changes:
The new feature is fantastic.
The bad: HUGE BATTERY DRAIN, please fix it.
So with the KitKat battery drain fixed now it would be great if Lifelog could get more energy efficient. Right now it is the only app that still uses way to much battery in my oppinion (it ranges from 50-73 % battery usage !).
P.S.: Looks like the function of the phone tracking your activities causes this huge drain. If you deactivate this (nice) feature and just let the Smartband do the work, the battery usage is way lower.
Okay Sony this battery drain is beyond ridiculous now. Until a update is released that resolves the battery drain Lifelog is off. You know it is sad when Stamina reports this:
Also Sony before you go and say that Google Services needs to be updated in order for me to see an improvement. Please note that I am on the latest version of Google Play Services and since the last time I posted my firmware is now 402.
I think there should be possibility to change the activity type.
Sometimes when i ride the bicycle it marks as i go by car.
I have also experiencing the huge battery drain and there is no stamina mode If I use this program with "logger on" option.
Please fix it as soon as possible
Z1 Compact
Thanks
Same issue, huge battery drain. Have now disabled the logger functions to get battery usage back to normal, but defeats the purpose of the Smartband and Lifelog!!!!
I am seeing high battery drain while using lifelog. Nearly as much as the screen on my Z2. surely this isn't right??
Do we have any further updates on the situation?

Nope, your choices are to Google the 1st version and download that for no battery drain or uninstall it completly which is what I have done.
I must say I am pretty disappointed in Sony and to be honest the Z2 will be my last Sony product. Firmware support is slow and this support forum has no "Support" either which is kind of ironic given its name...
