Headphone jack not working

Headphone jack was functioning properly for two weeks or so of the new phone but then the music started playing out of the main speaker. Tried different headphones which are all working but no difference. Just says the headphones are not supported when I remove them although I used the ones that came with the phone. Tried to repair using the online system but it wouldn't work, despite manually downloading the file. Help?

I had the same problem. It's because theres 2 types of headphone, you need a converter, I think you need to get it to IMTP or something like that. If you look for "sony headphones converter" on ebay, you should easily find some (I bought mine for 5$).

There is OMTP and CTIA.OMTP was in older xperias.CTIA started with NXT series 2012.

Apps-Smart Connect-Clear Data seems to have fixed this issue for me.
