gps not working on my xperia sola

im xperia sola andriod version 4.0.4

build number 6.1.1.B.1.54

and my gps not working at all it shows as on but when i try using any program it tell me go on location settings and reset it ...

and when i use that it still not working

help me pls ?

Make sure you have both GPS and Google's location service active under settings > location services.

If you have and still experience problem I suggest that you press *#*#7378423#*#* > service tests > GPS > Purge assistance data.

Restart your phone by press and hold the power button and volume up at the same time until the phone vibrates. Then try again. Make sure to be outside when trying to get GPS connection.

Hi, i really appreciate this post. my device keep sayin "searching for GPS" all the time, even i have good internet connection here. I did all the gps test, but i got nothing here. Hopefully, someone can help me. Thanks!

Hello, Pierre in Taiwan here. Exact same config as above, same problem, biking app can't start tracking b/c there is no GPS. 

I purged the GPS app as indicated, still no happiness. Now what? thanks for hte help

There is a root certificate error within the phone...

And Sony does not want to fix it...
