GPS not turning off

Hi everyone, I suppose I came across some sort of a bug.

Yesterday I turned on my gps, because of a trip. But after a couple of hours I turned it off, I needed it no more, and the icon on the right desappheard.

Today I noticed the battery was draining fast, and I realized an app used a lot of energy. Nokia maps, I mean, as you can see in the first image.

But after some minutes I noticed that also the gps where active, and the here app was using it, since the day before.

However in the options, the gps was down, the icon was hidden, but for some sort of bug, I suppose, it was still active.

Even if the stamina mode was active.

The app might have access to it and could have kept GPS active.

Of course, the app 'here' is like google map, so needs gps. But, I think, I should be able to turn on or off gps at my pleasure, or at least to check if it's active or not. But to me, in the option, appeared off, while in real it was on, and the icon did not show.

I don't think the phone should work this way, so for me that's a bug, isn't it?

Really, it's not the first time happens to me. I've read here maps has such a bug in windows phone, so their app is buggy, anyway I think there is a problem also in the operating sistem, not showing the gps as active. my 2 cents.

Now I've removed that app. Maybe it's just my phone.

I have several GPS apps on my phone for traveling like google maps and Copilot, non of which have an issue so from and based on what you have said then this Nokia maps seems to be the issue here

I just tried to install waze, another map app.

Same thing, I turned off the gps, the icon on the right disappheard, but the gps in reality is still on, and still uses energy.

In the image, the time of activation of gps continue to goes up, even if the gps apparently is off and the waze app is closed.

I'm unsure how to solve. As for now, only a reboot help.

In the meanwhile, thank you both for your help.

Fount something: I tried to disable stamina mode. As you can see in pictures, I used to keep it always on.

Then I activated gps and the map app. Turn off the gps. And now it really stops.

So I think there is something wrong with stamina mode and gps.

But need further investigations.
