Error received - Facebook videos

Hello All.
Do any Sony Xperia owners experience issues with loading videos on Facebook?

I continuously receive an error stating the following:

"Sorry, but an unknown error occurred while trying to play this video"

This is the first phone I've ever had this issue with.

Thank you Saran07 for this. It works on my Z2, its been a couple of weeks trying to sort out this problem which sony seems to ignore.

Hi Xperia Z2 Users,

Like you people, even I was geting the "Unknown Error" while trying to watch the Videos shared in Facebook.

I figure out the problem. :smileysmileythumbsup:

The problem causing this issue is the software update that promts you to install "Enhance the experience of Xperia for Facebook".

We generally want to enhance the experience and agree to install during log-in the facebook.

That is the culprit. Instead of enhancing the experience, it degrades the experience of facebook and gets the user frustrated.

What i did is I logged out of Facebook and closed the App. I again reopened the Facebook app; which prompted me to log in. This time when the software got prompted from Xperia, i did not install it and proceed to use the Facebook app.

This time it never crashed any videos...yupeeeee!!!!!

Problem Solved...

Note to Sony: A piece of advice from Xperia user is that please replace your QA(Testing) team. They are not doing their job religiously. Your QA is bringing bad name to your brand by allowing these faulty updates to pass, and casuing problem for your esteemed customers.

I did this and it did not ask me to enhance anything, just logged me back in..

Then, i request you to uninstall the facebook app. Again reinstall it. This time enhance the experience with Xperia software update should prompt. If it doesn't prompt, then there might be some issue which is out of scope for me.

But if it prompts, ignore it and you would be able to solve it. Good Luck.

Ahh I see, it's a notification message when you log back into Facebook.. You can choose not to install the ' experience' whatever that is...

Does not work for me Anand. It allows me to play them for about an hour (same with clearing the cache, or uninstall-reunstall) but opting out of the enhance my Facebook does nothing different

im having the same problem same as my friends Z2.even if you try to Wipe Data/Cache or even Reinstalling the app it doesnt work. This isnt a facebook app problem. Please sony fix this problem. this is my first Xperia Phone i thought it was perfect for the specs but i totally disappointed about this phone. im having so many issues like camera overheating, dead pixel and playing videos on facebook.
