i need to send empty sms to a number and it says empty message canoot send

Just press space once and you should be able to send.

Try settings-apps-all-messages,force stop and clear data. Restart and check.

I'm not sure why you would want to send empty messages but @alexdon is correct, some carriers/networks block this type of messages, just like if you send a LOT of messages in a small amout of time, you will get a pop up asking for you to ok sending more messages, this is to protect you.

I had the same problem with xperia z1 compact ...i sitched the sim on other Android phone , after typing the "space" i could send the empty message.

The question is that i had to send an empty message to cancel a registeration on some xperia games applications.

I think this option should be available with Xperia .
