Ear speaker defaults to really quiet

The ear speaker has started to default to minimal volume even though the volume bar shows it is on full volume.

During a call I can lower the volume bar and then turn it up again and the volume will rise to normal. Each time it is switched off and back on it reverts to very low volume but still show high on the volume bar.

I have used the diagnostics and it works fine but then it seems to be a volume issue..the speaker does work.

The phone is 7 months old so still under warranty. Can I get it repaired. Do I take it to the phone shop I bought it from?

You should stop by a Sony repair center and/or take it back to the store

I registered tge fault online and received a freepost address. The phone was sent to Sony and I received an email to say it had been received by Sony. About a week later the phone was returned via recorded delivery. It had been repaired and tested, and fitted with a new ear speaker. Phone had been reset to factory settings but we had expected that and saved all data and media. Overall it was an easy process, fixed under warranty. Many thanks Sony.
