Hello. I am a Sony Xperia J user. I was hopping someone could help me with a self-inflicted problem.
Recently I upgaded my phone to android version 4.1.2. Ever since then It started lagging (Not that it didn't before, but it's worse now) and it barely picks up wi-fi signals. At times the phone won't even turn on properly, though I found that taking off and putting back in the batery, then restarting the phone without the SIM helped.
Because of this I wish to downgrade my phone to it's original firmware. But how exactly do I do that without rooting my phone? ( Please note that I am not phone savvy in any sort of way and this phone was purshased just 2 months ago. The Xperia J is, in fact, my first smartphone. Also I did look up other forum posts, but in all honesty I couldn't make heads or tails of them. What exactly am I supposed to do?)
Also, if anyone could explain a way to backup my phone's current fimware ( and restore it if need be), i'd be grateful.
you need to download Stock ICS & Flash tool
then flash ICS using Flash Tool
TIP use google
search "Xperia J Stock ICS XDA"
you can restore current J/B using PC comparion
How? I installed and checked the program, but there was no option for downgrade to jellybean.
Thank you for the suggestion, but doesn't that void the warranty? I only got my phone two months ago.
