Cannot back up Xperia T with PC conpanion

I've tried at least four times on different occasions to back up my phone on my laptop and it takes forever and then the software freezes and crashes.

I haven't backed up my phone for ages and getting a bit concerned about it not working.

Anyone else got this problem?

They are already set. Cannot back up contacts to SIM as its full? SD card is mashed as well.
Keeps telling me to back up internal memory to SD card but then when I do it it asks me to do it again sometimes less than 1 minute later??

on your computer, access your gmail > contacts, double check that you indeed have them there.
