It will be 2 years shortly since XP was launched. Companies like Sony, HTC, Samsung don't want you to hold a phone for more than a year. It wont be far when we will have a Xperia ZX1. If you want to keep up with latest software go to a developer.

Fortunately your XP has got all the potential to be upgraded,. You can get that software from anywhere but Sony.

The xperia P launch it was on may of 2012 . So today 18 months. This is the last time for Sony then!!! Thank you!!!

We all know Sony Xperia P will not receive 4.2 or 4.3 update but i want to ask if it will directly get the 4.4 update ? Can people from Sony or anyone who has some info on this answer ?

Also I would like to know if we can sign a petition to get a software update for our device ?

We r not asking for further android update it is smooth unfortunately call lag is one problem i.e not letting us to enjoy our p so if u can't update whole then at least update to solve this problem updating apps only like keyboard you updated which was not necessary

Hello to all. First of all, if I was wrong to post your question here or else I'm sorry but this is the first time I asked a question. Coming to the point, I am writing to ask why this will not be updated to Android smartphones Kit Kat (4.4) in an official way? Kit Kat is optimized for Android devices that have at 512 mb so if there is a problem with the hardware that is too old I do not think a lot of accounts. Am I wrong? Thanks for any replies :smileysmileywink:

The hardware is not the problem.A problem could be investing money and time into out of date devices,which soon will not be on the market anymore.You will find out if the 4.4 kitkat will be officially available on our Xperia P.
