Camera not saving manual mode settings.

As the title says, everytime I choose a scene mode and go back to manual mode the settings gets reset. (i.e. focus mode, ISO, metering mode)

It is annoying to set it everytime. Why can't the app remember my settings.

As far as I know this is how the phone is intended to work. Manual mode is intended to be used for a specific photo, and the settings is normally not preferred in other situations.

This has been asked before and that's how it works, it will be nice if the camera physical button (quick launch) could be set to an specific camera mode instead of the superior auto.

@uliwooly It is not exactly the same, he is referring to the camera app that doesn't hold the changes when you normally tap on the app (that is my guess) but Samuel is right.

Thanks for the reply. And you are right but I think saving those settings will make the user experience only better. I understand that different conditions require different settings. But if you can save the settings you don't have to set it often when you are, let's say on trip and the condtion is daylight and you want to take photos every few minutes. 

And in case if you want to change settings, having saved settings is not going to make that task any harder.

It just have a small benefit for people who like to shoot with specific settings. And AFAIK many point and shoot or DSLR camera has this feature.

It would be nice to have memory modes like M1, M2, M3 from DSLR. Along with full manual settings but for now we can only live with that.

Anyway try to forward your opinion to Sony. I read somewhere that they investigate possibility to add manual controls in future. Maybe your voice will help them make correct decision 😉
