Bought a Z5 Compact - Huge issues using the Xperia transfer

Hi,

I just purchased a Z5 compact, finally changing to Sony after using iphones for several years. One of the reasons I liked the Xperia was that Sony seemed to offer very painless transfers of content. 

So yesterday, I tried to transfer my content and here is what happened:

(I used the PC companion, did a back-up of the iphone and successfully connected my Z5 to my PC)

1) I chose which media to transfer. To make it go quick I only selected contacts and texts and disregarded videos, pictures and apps. The process took forever. After 30 mins, it was stuck. Tried again and it stuck. Did this a few times back and forth and it always stuck. Then I let it run for 1.5h, and it was still stuck. In between, I had restarted my PC and my phone in case that was one of the reasons.

2) I wanted to try one last time, so I let it run for the whole night while I was sleeping. When I had woken up, it was finished. How can it take so long time? Eventually, I want to transfer my apps as well, but if texts and contacts took such a long time, apps will probably take forever am i missing something?

3) Worst/Critical part - So my texts and contacts have been migrated, great! Now I open my messages, and manage to scroll through a few, then the phone freezes. After a while I close the message app and open it again. A dialog comes up and says something in the likes of "configuring/managing messages". This goes on for a long, long time. Then I see my texts again, attemt to scroll through them and the same thing happens again. I really can't access them at all, and this is a huge issue for me What can I do to fix this? 

Another thing I noticed - The phone is 32gb and when I connect it I can see that I have 22gb of storage, whereof 2gb is used up so, 20 essentially. Should it be like this?

- For your messages, try clearing messaging app cache and see if it helps: Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Messaging -> Clear data and restart your phone (This will not erase any saved messages).

- For available space, if you go to Settings -> Storage, you'll find that your android OS will be consuming something like 9.4GB of space, which leaves you with around 22GB to use for apps and data.

As rickard said please contact him on other thread with this same issue and provide him the logs he is asking for
