Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Please take a look at the following topic:
yeah i carried out your steps.
initially my battery was 56% adn after the force restart it showed 13%.
So is this okay or the prob is still on...?
If you still experience the same behavior you can try to charge the phone to 50%. Then force turn off the phone by press and hold the power button and volume up until the device vibrates three times. Then charge the phone to 100% without powering on.
If the behavior still persists, you can try to repair the phone software using PC Companion:
http://www.sonymobile.com/update
In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > click on the blue highlight (Repair my phone/tablet). Do this without the phone connected. Follow the instructions on screen to perform the repair.
Before repairing the software in your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to:

I have done all the steps and still my battery keep dropping. It is not a big issue, because my phone won't shut down untill the battery is out. It may stay at 1% for a day or two.. But it is really annoying, because I have no idea when I need to charge the phone and battery might shut down at important places.
I guess theres nothing else to do but buy a new phone..?
