Background defocus never seems to work

It just says unable to blur background when I take a photo.

Yes mate, this had me fooled for a while. You need to be no more than half a meter away from your main target and if this is a person they need to stay very still during the shot as the camera takes two pictures. when it works it takes some very nice shots. hope this helps.

It works on my Z1 and it should work on Z2 also.You have to be careful at the tips given there.
