After JB update battery life is really bad

Hi,

yesterday i installed the new JB update (Build_Number 6.2.A.0.400) to my xperia go mobile. Update works fine but after the installation i realised that the battery life time will be very bad. With the old build version with ICS i had a batty life time ~ 3 days. i realised, that the battery condition has deteriorated by 50% after a half day. I look to the energy settings and the service or application "Exchange services" caused this effect.

How can i deactivate this service or why has it work so fine with ICS 4.0 and so bad with JB 4.1 now?

I'm not so happy about this update to this new JB build.

Same problem here....
With ICS my phone lasted for 2 days, since JB i'm lucky if i make it to midnight.

The "phone" app is draining the battery, 27% after the 39% for the screen.

Never saw that before with ICS.

Anyone having the same problem with the battery life?

I mean, love JB but i'm a bit dissapointed by the battery now.

Are you guys working on a solution?

So far, I've only ran into this issue once, which I resolved with a reboot. Now my phone's battery life is largely comparable to what it was in GB. Try monitoring your phone with BetterBatteryStats, just remember to set a custom reference point yourself since the watchdog seems rather buggy atm.

I've read a lot of battery life issues with exchange, how often are you syncing your email?

I'm using the gmail app, as far as i know you can't change the syncing time since it works via push exchange.

I didn't installed new apps on JB either, so i guess it is a JB issue and not an app or a sync problem.

This morning 100%, now it's empty....i've made 4 calls each 5 min, 3 short emails and a dozen of whatsapp conversations.

Same problem here.I don't use any sync, I use DS Battery to swich of Wifi/3G when phone is on sleep and it checks Wifi every 45 minutes for anything new.Also i use Keep Screen On to minimize the sleeping time when i am not using the phone.This way i had 2 days of usage on ICS but now even if i never open the phone from its sleep, battery dies in max 1 day.Also JB is using all my ram.I have 30-35 mb free ram space.This causes the phone to react very slow.Most of the time if the message or phone app is not pre-loaded and i get a message or a phone call, i cannot open the message/call about 4-5 seconds!Sometime person who calls me declines the call before i open it! Also when i go to phone app to call someone, app just freezes.I close the app and do something else and 6-8 seconds later, phone makes that call i wanted!

I deleted all stupid apps Sony forced me to use on this low ram device on ICS thanks to rooting but i can't delete Facebook, Google+, Google Talk etc. and they are consuming stupid amounts of ram that i ain't even activate them once.Please give me a way to root this device.

I had the same issue and it seems to be related to the implementation of the Mobile Bravia engine. What worked for me was to disable it (display settings) and restarting the phone. (Just normal power off and on again.) After that I experience normal battery usage in line with what I had before upgrading to Jelly Bean.

You can actually disable a lot of useless apps without root. I have. Use Disable Manager from the Play Store. I haven't disabled everything available but so far it has improved the system.

I did recently the upgrade from ICS to Jelly Bean of my xperia GO. It seems to go faster but the main problem is a very short battery life. Compare to ICS the battery decrease more than 2 times faster !!!!

I would like to go back to ICS but I don't know how ....

Any suggestions ?
