Xperia won't send or receive but will text.

Xperia XA won't call other numbers, just get a beep after a few seconds and 'call ended' message. Anyone calling me gets a 'please try again later' message. I can send texts. Help.

The first thing to try is to swap SIm cards with someone else.

Does the other SIM card function in your device?

Does your SIM card function on the other device?
