Hi,
So, I've been using this phone (Sony Xperia XA) for two years now, and just last December, I had this problem with my charging/battery stuff, but so what happens is that, when I charge it, it either doesn't increase or it decreases.
The first week of that, I didn't really know what to do, so I switched my charging cable -- BTW, I no longer use the Sony charger that came with my device, because my cable got effed by my lovely dog, I do still have the adapter, tho, but I stopped using it when I started having this problem because I thought that might be a reason for the problem (???) or something. Anyway, so I switched to a different cable, and yay, it's working fine, however still a little slow in charging, but then it starts getting worse to a point that it doesn't charge at all; it would say it does, but nope. Nothing. So, I suspected the battery and began looking for battery replacements, until one day when it hit me that oh , it's the charging port, so I looked up stuff to fix that. It doesn't read (or IDK the term to use, really, but yeah), it doesn't read the cable properly, like the chip or whatever is broken or slanted or whatever, so I had that fixed, and yay, it's working -- and I mean, 3 hours charge time, which is the usual and everything, but NOW -- it's happening again.
It was this week when I charged my phone at 2 percent, and I came to check on it, and the thing had shut down??? So, I panic, like, what do I do?? I look it up, and I found the 2-minute restart, and yay, my device turned on, worked fine and all that. And then now it's starting to do that thing again where the battery charges slow and at one point doesn't charge at all, like it says it's charging but it doesn't, and when I use it, it decreases. Anyway, it's probably the charging port moving to the other side of life again, and I'm happy to have it fixed AGAIN, but like, if anyone's got any idea to what the freak's up? Let me know. I'm desperate to keep this phone until December this year...for reasons. Thank you.
Have a nice day.
