Hi @Shelleyinusa, welcome to our community!
The Xperia XA2 does not have an inbuilt answering machine/voicemail, however most operators have their own voicemail that you can use instead.
If you are not sure if your operator have one, or you don't know the number, get in touch with them and they'll assist you!
