3 Months of using this and most of the bugs are still there
These are the bugs:
1.] Camera app sometimes shows a unknown error
2.] Phone randomly freezes sometimes
3.] Still now RAW support, please sony, just add it (By that i mean full or limited mode of the camera2api)
4.] Both wifi and cellular drop from 3 bars to 1 bar sometimes.
5.] Wifi randomly disconnects.
6.] Overheating issues, possible solution- slow down the cpu clock when it reaches a certain level of degrees. Camera produces heat really quickly.
(battery wasn't charging, just some regular 1080p30fps filming)
7.] Camera's color tone goes to greenish in low light however it can be adjusted via brightness and color adjustments (hope it would do that automatically)
8.) Bluetooth issues (added by @Pol63)
10.] Battery percentage sometimes drops in a 2% adjustments(example: instead of going from 25 to 24, it goes from 25 to 23 skipping a percentage)
9.) Sometimes the mobile data signal just completely drops out (reported by other users)
11.) Not all calls received (reported by other users)
Im glad to see Sony watching this topic
Yes, as the first step in troubleshooting will be a softrep (which will not proceed with an unlocked bootloader).
Why wouod they do a sofrwsof repair if its clear the backlight bleed is not a software issue
Erasing user data (ensuring privacy) and eliminating any software interferences.
European Union directive 1999/44/CE
has a different opinion on the warranty.
And can't they factory reset with a unlocked bootloader?
They can of course, but your initial question was "Can they detect an unlocked bootloader?"
Anyways, refer to your warranty terms and conditions to make sure if it states something about unlocking the bootloader.
Keep me updated on what happens and if anything changes with you, vim_usr. I'll be sending mine in the next couple days for warranty repair.
Fingers crossed it was a sbad. update that broke our phones. Would hate to have everyone affected have to send in their phones for god knows how long.
Is it normal that both cores are at 100%? My phone is getting really toasty at 40°C..
@LumberMacc
So I found a solution to the first problem of not receiving missed calls while on the other line. Under
Phone->settings->calls->additional settings
Call waiting for AT&T was turned off by default for my unlocked phone (purchased new from Amazon.) Turning this on fixed the isssue. Hope this helps on T-Mobile too.
Wait that fixed it? I thought that was only if you are only in a call..
Sorry misread his issue. I don't have issues receiving calls, but did have issues with notifications of other calls while I was on a call. So fixing call waiting worked for me, but probably would not fix his issue of simply not receiving calls to begin with.
