I am trying to connect my WH CH 700 headphones with my desktop PC running Windows 10. The available devices do show the headphones, and I am able to pair them, status shows connected.
Yet when I play music on the PC, the sound only comes from existing speakers, not through the headphones at all.
The sound settings drop down also does not show the bluetooth headphones, only existing speakers.
Am therefore unable to use the headphones thru bluetooth, am able to use them with the connecting cable
ANy help much appreciated, thank you
Thank you ! I had already done these steps, but when I do step 3, and select the CH 700 Audio in ADD A DEVICE, it does show paired or connected, but there is NO remark below it saying "Connected, Voice Music" or similar. And if I do go to sound settings, the pop down will have no items, only default speakers of the desktop are shown, with no other option , the Sony is not shown at all to select. Whether I try to set input or output device, there are no choices in pop down window. And that is the problem, it is not even registering the presence of the Sony device. There are just no choices in playback devices, just the already available microphone and speakers. So I dont know what to do next
Many thanks
Did you perhaps choose the device named "LE_WH-CH700" instead of just "WH-CH700", if so, try forgetting and pairing them again and make sure to wait until you see "WH-CH700".
That should fix it for you.

No sir, I do select WH CH 700 and not LE WH CH700 , but still cannot see the audio options in the popdown list , cannot therefore choose the Sony Headphones as input and output devices. I do have the latest drivers on the desktop, have checked that too. Very grateful to you for your kind assistance, let me know if you have any other suggestions. Best wishes
I know this is a connection between the PC and the headset, but I'd recommend trying a different laptop or a different device for connection see if it connects to it or if the same issue occurs.
Regards,
It does work with my iPAD and my Samsung phone, the problem is only with the Windows desktop, thanks
That means the issue is probably with the windows desktop rather than the headphones, so it might be a better idea to try other headphones with the desktop so you can better test it out.
yes i am sure it is a windows issue, will do more research and experiment, many thanks for your help and best wishes
Hi raabina, can I ask if your desktop has a built-in Bluetooth or you're using an adapter? If it does, what's the Bluetooth version?
