My grandsons earphones had a broken swivel mount that had been repaired at which point the wires had been disconnected and re-soldered. Unfortunately they were re-run down the wrong arm of the swivel mounting. The swivel mounting has broken again and I have repaired it.
I took a photo of the wiring and painted identifying colours on the wires and board before unsoldering them and re-routed the wires.
Unfortunately when it was time to re-solder the paint had rubbed off and I am left with 3 wires that are very hard to identify, any different colouring on the wires themselves being invisible.
I am a retired electronics engineer so if I had the schematic I could trace the connections.
Does anyone have this info or a place where I could access it?

I doubt this information would be shared or made available publicly due to companies being so protective.
But your best bet would be to reach out to the Sony authorized engineers, if the info is not available, they'll probably be able to repair it.
Here are the Sony locator links for the UK and Ireland.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply. After some searching I found a service manual online with the connection information I needed. The earphones are now fixed and working fine!
When (not if) they fail again I'll make a metal replacement on my mini lathe.
Glad to hear you managed to find that!
It'd be really helpful if you could share the manual link here and mark your post as the solution so others can benefit.
