windows 98 on RXG408

Is it possible to install windows 98 on a RXg408. When I try I get a Dos extender error. I realise that winXX is a dying OS, but this is a school environment and I need windows 98 to run specific recording software that will only run under 98. Newer versions of the software will only run on Macs so I am stuck with the version I have.

Are you certain that the SW you need to run does not function when you use the compatibility mode XP offers?
You can find the settings in the properties of the executable file(s).

The software will noy install under XP the installation ends on win95/98 not found.
