VGN-FE41E changing to wrong resolution

Hello,

My VGN-FE41E changes it's own resolution to 1024x768 after recovering from hibernation, which makes the screen look not as clear as it should. When i reboot the system, everything is OK again.

Also, I can't change the display's resolution in the classic view of the Control Panel, the option just isn't listed. In Category-view however, the option is available.

The system is running the original Vista-installation (Home Premium)

Are these problems possible to fix with a Sony- or MS issued update?

The problem that you have descibed has a nice simple fix.

Download the following and install:

BIOS Update

Nvidia Graphics Drivers

If that doesn't work, there is a Sony Patch available for this specific problem. Download it from here: -

Thanks, but updating the nVidea-drivers worked just fine.
