VAIO with NOKIA 6600

I tried to connect my Nokia6600 to my VAIO PCG-FR215H but no success. Installed all the softwares what came with the phone, bought an USB to IrDA thingy which works just fine on my desktops but the laptop can't sees the phone, or just recognize like a modem. What'd I do?

Can you not connect via bluetooth?

I didn't try yet, but going to buy an adapter (about 20 quids :cry: )
