Hi i was just wondering if the DVD player in this laptop is region free or region locked. A quick answer will be appricated

It is locked to the region of the 1st DVD you use in it. You can change it four times after that but then it is locked to that forever.

There are firmware updates that can make some drives region free although I am not sure how legal this is. If your drive is Matshita then this is not possible as they are locked.
