Vaio Update: Memory Card Reader/Writer Driver Registry Patch 20060210

Ive been trying to run this update for months and it hasnt worked, ive downloaded it manually and installed it asks me to reboot but it still doesnt work as it asks me to install again and reboot again, i remember there was a thread on this somewhere here but the search function doesnt work and there are too many page to find it If someone resolved this problem please tell me how as its not showing me any other recent update released by sony like for the motion eye thank you....

True, I have also discovered this a few days ago.

But, Sony support are telling me that their engineers are still working on the problem and have not yet found a solution.

So the question is: has it really been fixed???

One thing is for sure - "Sony support is a complete shambles".

I keep thinking this is my last Vaio and next time it is a DELL XPS.

I just can't stand this constant mess, especially the truly awful "Vaio update".

With the Vista update for the AR21S they only supply the XP camera drivers, so it doesn't properly work. And you can't get the VCC2 Vista drivers anywhere!

Also with the Vista upgrade, there is another problem like this one, but with the Blu-Ray player update.

Problems, Problems, Problems and Sony after sales support is a complete joke.

Never again will I buy a Vaio.
