vaio c1z/b started up to blank white screen

hello, i've had my c1z since they came out, last nov i think(?), with no problems at all, which is rare in my case! but today, i turned it on, and it booted up to a blank white screen. i don't know if it showed the vaio start up screen as i left it and came back to it. the hdd light was flickering so i think it loaded ok, but was completely white.

i resorted to turning it off, waited, then turned it on and all was well. Previously, I've had no screen issues to suggest something was wrong or about to go wrong.

the only thing i did different (in recent terms at least) is to turn the vaio on and whilst booting, turn my wifi router on. normally the router is on before hand.

any ideas?

I think I would just wait and see is it was just a one-off. If it frequently repeats this problem then it may be worth: -

Try looking in your System Event Log to see if an error has been reported.
Try it with an external monitor attached.
Try updating your Video Driver.

Hopefully it will have been 'one of those things'.

yes fingers crossed. nothing was listed in my event log that seemed to me to be linked..there was an error but it was to do with w32Time, due to my router not being on at the time i think.
