Switching from Vista to XP

I have a VGN-FE41M and have recently removed the pre-installed Windows Visa Home Premium and switched to XP Professional (for a number of reasons...). However, I am now unable to get sound/audio working.

I have tried using the Vista drivers supplied with the machine and also the drivers for other Sony models - but no luck.

Can anyone help?

As the specs of the FE31M are similar to the FE41M, you could try downloading the FE31M pre-installed drivers & utilities from Here

When installing the Audio drivers be sure to install the UAA High Definition Audio Class driver kb835221.exe before the SigmaTel audio drivers setup.exe
