Sony Vaio +TV Question

Was wondering about the possibilities of connecting my sony vaio to my tv so i can use the dvd drive and watch films on tv rather than the laptops screen,all i no is it has these connections below,are they suitable!! if they are where would
i be able to buy the cable to connect it to tv??

All you need is one of those camcorder cables with the 3.5mm jack and the 3 phonos at the other end for the TV.

so i take it,that it is possible??
and would i use the 3.5mm jack end for the vaio and the other end to the TV,

You use the 3.5mm jack in the VAIO (usually on the back of the machine)

can be hooked up to tv?

should be and u can check by looking to see if u hav a jack socket which is coloured yellow. the 3.5 jack cable should have around 3 rings around the jack.
