Recovery Disc

Hello I wanted to install my notebook GRT815e with the recovery disc given with my laptop but it's impossible because i have an error message :

"This disc of recovry is not compatible with this computer. Please check if it's the right type of model."

I patch my bios with the tool given on the sony website. Maybe it's the problem.

I believe that it is interesting you to contact the support and to inform the problem and to request a new recovery disk to be sent.

Telephone VAIO-Link on one of their phone numbers and explain the problem you are having.

Be aware that if you want to try a new recovery disk, then Sony do have a habit of charging for it - £100 apparently!
