Hi Forum!
I bought myself a hitachi travelstar HD (30gb) for my old Vaio PCG-F707. I partitioned it and reinstalled the system, but it only shows a capacity of 18 gigabytes. And apparently there is no Bios update available. Anybody can help me? Thank you!!
@Woodheart
yes, its easy. You must have the "Diskmanager" from IBM(it´s a bootabel disk with DOS), than you can partitionation your HDD with this. When you are ready with this you become a blue banner on your sceen (with the text "IBM DISK Manager Version..." "press ´c´ for booting from cd" ....
If you seen this messege press "c" and now your pc/notebook will boot from this. Sorry for my bad english.
But you must have the Image to make the bootdisk from diskmanger, i have the disk, but i don´t have the imagefile and I can´t find it on the ibm homepage. I hope you can find it with "googel".
So long, i hope i have help you.
:smileygrin: Hi compytech!!
