hi... i got a fe31m... yesterday i recognized that the paint (didnt even know the notebook is painted/varnished) is coming off
i still have warranty, so can i send it to sony to have the case changed? it looks ugly and diminishes the worth of my vaio
greets
Hi Shag-A-Delic,
You will have to open a case with Vaio-Link for this, they will then probably have to decide whether the paint peeling off is due to fair ware and tare or not..:smileysad:
Hi Shag-A-Delic,
Open a case with support. This should not happen on a top end notebook!
ok, thx mates...
You're welcome, let us know what Vaio-link's response is please..
hi, i called vaio link today... they told me that cosmetic deficiencies are not included to the warranty... so i have to send my vaio in so they can make an estimate... that makes me angry, because i told him about the paint peeling off the buttons, what i have read sometimes in internet, and that would cost me nothing because its an usual problem (isnt it the same??)... and the guy couldnt say me how much it will cost...
so now i'm considering if its worth sending it in...
Hi Shag-A-Delic,
Which keys is the paint peeling off from, is the normal keyboard keys, volume buttons or some other keys..?
hi
no, at my vaio the paint doesnt peel off the buttons
it comes off the case (left from touchpad, approximately where the sony sign is)
but warranty just includes the buttons
