I have a vaio vgn-n21s/w. I tryed to upgrade che 945gm chpset's driver but I've been stopped by a system deny: the driver is not convalidated for your product.
I'd like to upload the driver because a performance advice informs that this driver makes the bootstrap slow.
Hi ggree,
We have escalated this for you to Sony. Unfortunately they have not replied, nor has anyone else come up with a solution. I have followed it up for you but it may be a good idea to contact Sony Support yourself to try and get a solution.

well.. thank you anyway!
unfortunately, sony support needs a service number that I don't have... I've bought my vaio just 2 6 weeks ago but I have no idea how to obtain the possibility to contact sony directly!
sorry... errata corrige: I've bought my sony 6 weeks ago!
It is on the underside of your VAIO (Service TAG)
sorry... no service tag, just a product key...
It is a little white label next to the serial number tag you used to register and sign up to the forum.
If it isn't there then:
XP: Start -> Run -> type "C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Control Center\VCCSystemInfo.exe"
Vista: Start -> Type "C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Control Center\VCCSystemInfo.exe"
In this new window is all the information about your VAIO including your service TAG.

well.. thank you anyway!

Thank you a lot!
A sony technican contacted me three days ago. He just reccomended to install only the upgrades included into the sony site. I will follow his suggestion but a system analysis still shows that a driver: igdkmd32.sys (video chipset) and a program: audiodg.exe cause problems with the system restart.
