I've just bought NFS The Run and, ironically, it won't run on my VAIO. It asks for the latest nVidia driver update, but this certain driver does not support Vaio AW series (quote from nVidia site:The following Sony VAIO notebooks are supported: Sony VAIO F Series with NVIDIA GeForce 310M, GeForce GT 335M, GeForce GT 425M, GeForce GT 520M or GeForce GT 540M. Other Sony VAIO notebooks are not supported at this time (please contact Sony for driver support).)
Is there any driver that can fix this problem? Do I have to wait until nVidia releases something new or maybe someone has fixed this already?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The only way you will get a bang up-to-date nVidia driver is to modify the Installer .INF file to allow the nVidia version to install on your Vaio.
As this method and the drivers are not tested by Sony, you proceed at your own risk, but many have successfully installed new drivers in this way - you can always reinstall the old one if it goes pear shaped!
