Guys,
Instead of wasting time in developing a bether SonicStage Software, why not developing an interface to iTunes or MusicMatch to use their great Software functionalities.
I would appreciate following features on my Vaio Pocket:
- USB Cable without dockingstation
- Being able to load the battery without dockinstation (through USB for example)
As a former iPod user I have to say that the Vaio Pocket has a few positive things. The price (at least when I bought it), the display, the design and the sound quality. The rest is realy disappointing. SonicStage is a nightmare. MP3 Songs recorded in iTunes cannot be correctly importet into SS.
So i say ... GET RID OF THIS SONICSTAGE!
Just to say my opinion,
Anatol
what problems do you have with mp3s recorded in itunes? i've recorded a couple of thousand of my mp3s with itunes, and i haven't had any particular problem with them. i really, really doubt itunes will ever be compatible, as itunes is always being changed and only the latest version will work so after market add ons probably won't work, and apple has no reason to add support, it's just competition to them. realplayer would be a nice alternative as well, and perhaps more realistic
you re quite right astudler but these programms cannot support vp interface as far as i ve heard so sstage is the only way!
believe me if there was another programm i would use it instantly.theyre just not compatible with the vp.
LOL, it gives a IPod plugin for foobar2000. Maybe a programm writes a plugin for VaioPocket too?
Well,
I updated to SS 3.0. Since then when I import a compilation album (ID Tag 2.3), SS 3.0 creates for each artis an new item. SS 2.3 was working fine but had somtimes problems with album covers. I don't know why, but some albums didn't have a cover after importing from iTuns. MusicMatch, Real, MediaPlayer were showing the cover but not SS ....?!-
I heard that sony may have some plans together with Apple ...
Kunitake Ando was attending the MacWorld Expo in the mid of January. There may be some discussion to make "Connect" iPod compatible which may result in a cooperation in this area. Well but this are so far just rumors 😞

Hello,
I for one would like to see some compatability with Musicmatch.
I remember reading a message here sometime ago regarding the new (in Japan only so far) Sony hand held media player (HMP A1) that comes bundled and fully compatable with Musicmatch. In fact there wasn't mention of the dreaded SS. You can read about it here
So lets keep our fingers crossed.
astudler, bentate - i emailed real player twice a while ago pleading them to support our VP (you can read it on my post on page 7 or 😎 and they gave me a link i (and every1 else who wants it to be supported) could use to tell them: here it is Real Player Link I hope to God they support it so if you use it, it would only encourage them. Thanks
sorted, let's hope it works.
replied there too...
