Hibernate and Wireless Device Switch

Hi all,

My laptop is FE31M Running on Windows Vista Home Premium

I keep on having a very annoying problem wich is damaging my harddisk if I go on like this thx to Vista. Everytime I hibernate and leave my wireless button on and later on resume from hibernate my wireless connection does not work. Even stranger is that my blue bluetooth light is on and I can't open my Wireless Divece Switch screen (little green Icon with LAN on it). And then when I tell my laptop to restart it gets stuck shutting down at the screen WIndows Is Shutting Down. Then I am forced to hold the powerbutton of my laptop and shutdown my laptop the hard way wich is bad for my harddisk. After a full restart everything works correctly.

If I switch the button off and hibernate and resume later with the button of and wait untill everything is started and then switch the button on everything is working again. But since I am human and can't think of doing this every single time I hibernate or sleep I wonder if there is a fix for this extremely annoying problem.

Thx ahead

P.S. Sony next time if you want laptops to save power don't let the wireless net bluetooth burning and working during startup even if you have it switched on. Let it start running when the damm Wireless Divce Switch application runs....

When you upgrade to Vista did you install the update Wireless Switch Setting Utility 3.5.00.11270?

This might solve your problem with it not opening.

Sorry I didnt react that fast. I just checked it but I see my version is 3.5 so I think I did it. But I found on another thread something about updating the intel wireless drivers. Hope that will fix the problem. I it will I will tell later.

Thx for your help!
