Hi,
last week I had to give a lecture. i connect my vaio vgn-tx3/hp to a video projector (beamer) with a vga-cable. my powerpoint presentation was flickering the whole time on the video projection. it was not really nice to read the text on a flickering projection.
does somebody know maybe a solution for this problem?
thanks a lot.

Hi krystian and welcome.
It is difficult to say as it could be a few things.
1. Vaio output resolution is too high - many projectors only need 1024 X 768 @ 75 Hz.
2. The projector bulb is starting to fail.
3. The VGA connections are not secure.
Do you know the make of projector?

Hi,
I can change the resolution from the basic 1366x768 to 1024x768. But to change to 75Hz is
not possible. I just have the option to select 60Hz.
After my lecture two other speakers showed their work with two different notebooks and without any problems. That think that the problem comes from my notebook an not from the projector.
What do you mean with secure VGA connection?
I willl check this week the name of the projector.
thanks for helping
Secure meaning that the cable is tight to the socket.
60Hz shold be fine at that resolution.
