6600 Upgrade on PCV RX1 : Problems

Hi all,

i've changed my old Graphic card (Geforce 2 mx) on my PCV RX1 for a non-GT 6600.

I need to connect it at a molex, and i tried yesterday :
- After reeboot, mouse stopped to work
- Power supply got hot quickly

Of course, i've deconnect my Molex cable to avoid explosion :smileygrin:

What can i do ? Can we change power supply on this computer ?

It might be hard to change as it's a non-standard power supply

Can i Change case + Power supply with all my actual components ?

I'd like to keep my Vaio case, but if it's the only solution....

Mmmh, give it no possibility, to use the Power supply extern.

I think you need only a normal Power supply and cables they are long enough to reaching the PC components.

True, a VAIO with an external Power supply are not really nice. But I think that is a possibility. (tell me, If I'm wrong)

I don't know external power supply. Do yo have an example ?

You need a Power supply like this one .

and cables like these .

You must dis-connecting the Sony Power supply and connecting the new power supply with the components in your VAIO.

I think a VAIO PC use the same cables like a standart PC.
