That is Chrome letting you know that audio is being played in the application, kinda like when you use Spotify, you will have the Spotify icon in the status bar and you can pause the music, change track and so forth.
As far as I remember, the icon will stay there until you leave the site if you have watched a video/played audio on the site that is currently the main tab in Chrome.
