Sony STRDH820 & Blu ray green screen problem

I wonder if any of you smart types can help me with my problem.
After finally getting sick of my onkyo SR 606 hdmi switching problems. I raided my piggy bank and bought a SONY STRDH820. Im well impressed with both audio and picture (especially for the money.
But...
I do have a weird problem in that when ever I finish watching ablu ray (on PS3) and I stop playing it to return to the PS3 XMB, the tv (Samsung 42" HDready tv - will find out model no if it helps) screen has a lurid green colour cast all over it. It will not go away unless I alter any display settings which seems to refresh the screen and it returns to normal.
Does anyone have any suggestions at all.
I have tried changing the resolution settings to a lower value ie 720dpi as my sony shop recommended but no difference

bit dissapointed in the lack of input, is it because more details are needed or because no one knows the answer?

Im really tempted to take it back for a refund as its only a few weeks old but would of preferred to establish if its a problem or a a setup issue. Assumed Sony Forums would be the place to ask?

Any input would be appreciated.
