DSC-H400 Frozen

I have new out of the box DSC-H400 cybershot camera. It's already broken.

I turned it on, set up the date and time, took a couple of pictures and couldn't figure out the strobing on the screen so went to have a loo at the book, turning the camera on.

Then, a few minutes later I turned it back on and it turns on, makes the noise, and shows the 'Cyber-Shot' screen.

And that's it.

It remains on the Cyber-Shot screen and nothing else happens. I can't even turn it off - I have to take the battery out.

I've tried charging it up - not helped.

I've reset the camera - not helped.

I tried taking the memory card out - not helped.

I don't know what else to do. I only got it last night and it was a present. Please if anyone has an answer, let me know.

Hello and welcome. It Looks as though you have a faulty camera and as it new out of the box I would recommend returning to the retailer either for a refund or exchange.
