You have probably heard about the Sony World Photography Awards taking place every year to discover new talent in the world of photography. If you’re not feeling up to the challenge of a fully-fledged world class competition just yet, the online Community is here to help you warm up for the Awards with great advice from professional photographers to improve your technique and a series of monthly photo competitions to show off your newly acquired skills and possibly win some amazing prizes.
The monthly competition
Every month there will be a different theme and all you need to do to enter is upload your photos to the Sony World Photography award Gallery. The prizes are a VIP trip for two to the Awards Ceremony in London next spring, a professional compact Sony RX1 camera, stunning SWPA books and a free year’s membership to www.worldphoto.org Check out the Terms and Conditions for more information!
Masterclasses
Each month you’ll be able to watch here a masterclass by a Previous World Photography Award winner or finalist and pick up tips and advice from these professional photographers to take your photos to the next level.

Our Wallpaper Gallery will also be updated monthly to include new wallpapers with the theme of the month, so watch out for these!
