Over the last few years Sony have launched some great cameras and lenses with their most recent offerings being nothing short of stellar in performance terms. However, one major weakness in their lens portfolio is in the macro category. I have the 90mm macro lens and it is good but, compared to lenses released in the last couple of years, it looks a poor performer in terms of both image quality and particularly AF speed and accuracy. What we need is a state-of-the-art 1:1 macro at 'G' level or ideally 'G Master' standard. Something in the 100-200mm range would be perfect. That would then allow me to optimise my A7R V when shooting macro. I'd happily pay G Master prices for it.
